Box file containing bundle of deeds relating to Nab Top, donated by Chaffes Solicitors in Market Place, Stockport 2013.<br /><br /><strong>23rd January 1772</strong> : John Marsland to John Sydebotham : lease for a year.<br /><strong>Outline</strong> : Indenture : 5s.0d Dwelling house, messuage, with appurtenance, in the tenure of the late Samuel Marsland (except buttery). Late in the possession of Henry ? Nab croft. Several houses, parcel of land known and called by several names of the Outlet, The Barnfield (further names listed), being part of an estate called Shepleys which was allotted upon a partition between John and Brother Samuel Marsland.<br /><br /><strong>24th January 1772</strong> : John Marsland to John Sydebotham : release of an estate in Marple : £450.<br /><strong>Outline</strong> : Indenture in 3 parts: 1. John Marsland, 2. Robert Edgerton, 3. John Sydebotham. Release with regard to John Marsland, last Will and Testament. Named.<br />Legatees : 1st part Samuel Marsland, 2nd part John Brown Stockport - Husbandman and Mary his wife (daughter), 3rd part Ann Marsland - spinster-daughter, 4th part William Bennett-Cooper, 5th part John Wood, Tanner, 6th part Robert Egerton.<br />All of the above agree to make a petition of the estate dwelling, messuage,etc, description Bancroft.<br /><br /><strong>14th January 1803</strong> : Alice Sidebotham to Messrs John Braddock & Swindells : lease for a year.<br /><strong>Outline</strong> : Indenture : Five shillings lease for dwelling known as Nab Top, marple, in the occupation of Robert Leech. Several holdings in the occupation of Ralph Bossoch, James Sidebotham, Rowland Booth. Also Marple Lane, William Webb, Robert Marsland, Robert henshawe and Mary Higginbotham. Also Crop Lane, Thomas Greenwood.<br /><br /><strong>5th February 1803</strong> : Settlement of Alice Sidebotham of her estates in Marple previous to her intended marriage with Mr Edward Wain.<br /><strong>Outline</strong> : Indenture in 3 parts between Alice Sidebotham<br />daughter of John Sidebotham dec. Died intestate. 2nd Edward Wain, Muslin Manufacturers. 3rd John Braddock and Peter Swindells.<br /><br /><strong>5th February 1817</strong> : Rev'd Lawrence Kane to Edward Waine and Elizabeth Sidebotham : Lease for a year.<br /><strong>Outline</strong> : Sum of five shillings rent for several closes, fields or parcels of land situate in Marple.<br /><br /><strong>6th February 1817</strong> : Rev'd Kane by the .......to Edward Waine and Elizabeth Sidebotham. Release of several closes of land (part of the further Dan Bankk Estate in marple). Assignment from Mr John Smith to Peter Swindells of the same hereditaments for the residue of the term of 300 years or in trust to attend the indenture.<br /><strong>Outline</strong> : 3 sheets attached together. 1. Indenture heading, dwelling house. 2. Inheritance. 3. Transfer, signed by Laurence kane, Richard Arkwright, Mary Arkwright, james Aldred and John Smith.<br /><br /><strong>6th February 1817</strong> : Mr Hadkin to Mr H & Miss Sidebotham : Deed of Covenant for Production of Deeds.<br /><strong>Outline</strong> : Indenture between John Hadkin, Edward Waine, Elizabeth Sidebotham - Dwelling House, messuages and several closes, fields and parcels of land commonly known as Further Dan Bank.<br /><br /><strong>25th & 26th Feb 1830</strong> : Settlement of messuages, lands, tenements and hereditaments in Marple and manchester to the uses within mentioned.<br /><strong>Outline</strong> : 7 Documents bound together : First lines read.Indenture between Thomas Cartwright of Heaton Norris, Alice Waine, Elizabeth Buzton Waine, Samuel Shaw & Eli Rowbotham...
