Photocopy of declaration made in 1853 by Samuel Sidebottom of Ludworth a 81 year old resident giving details at Stockport of the changes in the field names in the area of Chatterton Lane, Mellor.
Among these, he declared that he well remembered that Hurstfield was known as Little Marled (Marked?) Earth.
