Photocopy of Last Will of Henry Bradshaw Isherwood dated 1940
with Probate Registry Office form.
Bequests were made to his brother John Bradshaw Isherwood, to his brother John's wife, to his sister Esther Toogood, to Kathleen the widow of his brother Frank and to Edith Leach his housekeeper. He appointed his brother John to be the sole Executor of his will.

Thomas Isherwood's Will 1786
Photocopy of Thomas Isherwood's original last will dated 1786. He died in 1788.
Bequests were made to his wife Mary which included a property in Byron Street, Manchester; to his sons Thomas, Henry, John and James and his daughters Magdalen Barcroft, Hannah, Mary Ann and Margaret. He also described his intentions regarding the children of his first marriage. He appointed his wife Mary as sole Executrix.
The wills of the two eldest sons of Thomas Bradshaw Isherwood - Thomas and Henry, who died aged 22 (1791) and aged 26 (1801) respectively are to be found in the Map Drawers, in Drawer 2 Legal Section.

Three page photocopy on A3 paper of the original will of Henry Bradshaw 1735 with two page typed transcript.
Bequests were made to his wife Elizabeth, his brother John, his sister Mary Isherwood, his friend and relation Henry Legh and various other friends and servants. His brother Thomas was made sole Executor and received all household goods, chattels, plate, jewels, linen, books, horses, cattle and husbandry ware.

In his will he made bequests to his son Thomas, and made provision for his wife and children. He named as Executors and guardians of his children during their minority, his wife Elizabeth, his daughters Miriam, Ann Magdalen and Anna Maria and James Wylde of Lymm.

Three page photocopy on A4 paper of original will of Mary Ellen Bradshaw Isherwood 1890.
Two page typed transcript of the will of Mary Ellen Bradshaw Isherwood dated 1890.
Bequests such as a gold watch, tea kettle, punch ladle, pictures and books were made to son John, grandchildren Francis, John and daughter in law Elizabeth.
She also established trust funds in the name of George Victor Conyngham Cockburn Dickinson who "has been brought up by and lived with me ever since his babyhood". Her son John Henry Bradshaw Isherwood received other bequests and was named as sole Executor.

Journey from Marple to London 1831
Typed document copied from a diary made by Anne Maria Bradshaw Isherwood daughter of John, who made a journey from Marple to London in 1831.
The journey started on 16 July with overnight stops at Loughborough, Northampton and St Albans before reaching London on 19 July. She described their stay in London and the sights seen with a brief account of their return to Marple.
