Letter from Cheshire Council Planning Department 1971 informing the resident of the Old Vicarage that as it now appears on the Department of the Environments List of Buildings of Architectural or Historic Interest as Grade III, it may be eligible for a grant towards the cost of repairs and renovation work. Certificate dated 28th November 1970 stating that Mellor Old Vicarage has been inspected and it is noted that the building is "Eighteenth Century vernacular. Plastered Stone Walls with stone slated roof and plastered stacks. 2 storeys, casements, three window front". Issued by the Government Investigators of Historic Buildings.
