Photocopy of the will dated 1867 of John Wright of Brabyns Hall with 5 page handwritten précis.
Bequests in his will included £2000 to his cousin Maria Ann Hudson, £1000 and his gold watch to Major Thomas Wright Hudson, £3000 to Rev Robert Littler and legacies to several other members of the Littler family. Numerous lesser amounts were left for servants, labourers, tradesmen, clerics, charitable institutions, etc. and his dogs were to be given to proper persons locally with £7 10s annually for the upkeep of each. The remainder of his manors, messuages, farms, lands and heriditaments in the County of Chester were bequeathed to his cousin Ann Hudson. The remainder was to go to the eldest son of William James Hudson.
