1. Newspaper cutting dated February 22nd 1908 : p5 c4 of unknown newspaper giving information of the purchase of land by Harry Nuttall MP to rent to Farm Colony for the unemployed of Manchester. Information on site, Committee , aims and benefactors.

2. Downloaded from The Manchester Guardian Archive two reports on the Farm Colonies at Marple Dale:
a. 1908 : "The Work at Marple Dale" an update on Work carried out at Marple Dale and members visit.
b. 1910 : "Training Unemployable : Work at the Marple Dale Colony" lst Annual Report and Meeting at Manchester Town Hall called by the Council of the Incorporated National Union for Christian Social Services.

3. Report from High Peak Reporter on 26/6/1920 of visit to opening of YMCA holiday centre on site previously occupied by Marple Farm Colony, which closed in March 1920.

4. Report from unnamed newspaper of meeting in Marple on 18/2/22 of unemployed people, expressing discontent at Council measures being taken to help them.

5 Report from High Peak Recorder Oct 1930 on Ridge Road improvements to be undertaken with money from Unemployment Grants Committee as means of providing work for unemployed workers.
