2. Jul 1789 : Photocopy of original auction sale catalogue for "The Reputed Manor of Mellor" , a spacious stone mansion, offices and gardens with 53 acres of land. also the Advowson to the Living of Mellor. Auction to be held at Garraway's Coffee House, London in four lots.
3. Typed extracts from Manchester Mercury offering
(a) Feb 1756 : Mellor Hall to be let 'fit for a Gentleman's family' with 'thirty Chestire Acres of land'
(b) Mar 1756 : Mellor Hall furniture to be sold, also a post chaise, harness for two horses, hay and corn and some husbandry ware
