Discussions were held on the subjects to be taught during the evening classes held at Marple and High Lane which included arithmetic, reading, writing for commercial purposes, algebra, Euclid, cookery, joinery and the life and duties of a citizen. The cost ranged from 2/6 to 5/- per session.
