Handwritten letter from Mr R Braddock to Mr Beardsley advising him he is unable to give his talk on "Braddock Enterprises in Marple" due to ill health.
Brief history of his father who started the business in 1906 after returning to Marple on completion of apprenticeship in Kent. At the time there was only one car in Marple, owned by the Budenberg family in Arkwright Road.
Father started supplying petrol in 1920 (delivered to Marple by horse and cart from Levenshulme).
Also hired out wedding car.
