Photocopies of four houses on The Ridge:
1. Wingfield, Ridge End Fold : Newspaper cutting from Express Advertiser, dated 19.5.1983 entitled 'Truly Rural' giving sales details. Offers over £45,000. The estate agents say that as far as they are aware the house dates back to the 17th century and was probably occupied by a family carrying out a small cottage industry such as hatting.
2. Photocopy of photograph, courtesy of Marple Civic Society, of The Ridge Cottages built in 1838.
3. Photocopy of photograph, courtesy of Marple Civic Society, of Ridge Cottage, The Ridge, Marple. The photograph is on the Virtual Tour File 2/46.
4. Photocopy of Stockport Advertiser newspaper article dated 1976 regarding a building at the rear of 67 The Ridge, Marple. This involved a dispute over planning permission for its use as a workshop and the kind of work to be carried on there.
