Two original programmes for events at Mellor War Memorial :
(a) Unveiling and Dedication of the Mellor War Memorial in honor of men who died in Great War 1914 - 1918. Order of Proceedings on Saturday 6th November 1920 unveiled by F C Arkwright Esq., D.L., J.P.
(b) Dedication of the Inscription with names of those who fell during the 1939 - 1945 War on Saturday llth November 1951. Unveiling by the Chairman of Marple UDC, Councillor J E Bradshaw.
(c) Newspaper cuttings:
21.8.1920 Hand-written copy of High Peak Reporter article criticising positioning of Mellor War Memorial - people will have to make detour to see it rather than pass it when going about their business.
06.11.1920 Hand-written copy and photocopied article from High Peak Reporter describing ceremony to take place that day at unveiling of Mellor war memorial. Lists speakers, other participants, musical items and subscriptions.
