Original and photocopy of newspaper report from The Reporter dated 29th March 1945 on the opening of Brabyns Hall to the public 'for all time' after purchase from the Hudson family by Marple Urban District Council .
The portion of the estate bought included 95 acres of park, with woods, gardens and paths. The Chairman of the Council invited members of the public to come forward with ideas as to how the estate should be used.
