1807 : Turnpike road charges : state of local streams : property sales at Lane Head
1808 : Sale of property by order of the assignees of William Radcliffe and Thomas Ross, bankrupts, including buildings and tolls
1840 : Sale by order of the assignees of the estate and effects of members of the Waller family - Thomas, Samuel, Thomas the younger, William and Ralph Knowles Waller
1873 : Great fire at Mellor - Dove Bank Mill
1876 : Uninsured east portion of Dove Bank Mill destroyed by fire
1877 : Dove Bank Mills, at present in ruins, is to be floated as a limited company
1926 : Mellor landmark disappears - demolition of chimney and engine house at Dove Bank Mill necessitated by threatened subsidence of the road at that point.
