1827 : 'that old established forge formerly carried on by Mr Yarwood, spade maker with a good supply of water 22ft fall, suitable to erect a silk or cotton works'
1828 : For sale valuable freehold estate, iron forge, waterfall, dwelling houses
1845 : To be let - iron forge with a water wheel 15ft dia x 4ft wide, 22 ft waterfall. Supply of good spring water suitable for bleaching
1873 : Advertisement for Yarwood's celebrated spades, shovels, patent axles, cart arms, brushes, etc.
1971 : Brothers battle litterbugs to restore old mill site
1975 : Marple Civic Society are working to restore the water wheel with he aid of a National Trust expert
1985 : Powerful wheel's return to glory
1986 : Forge Mill wheel turns full circle; plaque unveiled commemorating its restoration by the Manpower Services team
2000 : New life for forgotten mill - 200 year old mill building turned into a unique home.
